Dear Descendants,
Being a perfectionist can be such a stumbling block sometimes, haha. Two years ago, I wanted to write a blog that spoke to the internet and connected me with cousins – close and distant. I considered doing Amy Johnson Crow’s 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks, but I wanted the writing to be “perfect” and then I missed the start date and I just kept putting off starting.
One of my goals in 2024 is to work on more genealogy. I am going to start my blog back up with the 2024 52 Ancestors prompts. I will be less formal in my blog posts than how I write my research reports, but I intend to cite my research. I am hopeful that those signed up for email messages will get an update that I have something to share.
I am sending this ahead of my first post for #52Ancestors to see if it comes through in a clear fashion. As this is a weekly prompt, I will try to complete the prompts in advance so I can release on the same day every week.
I look forward to growing this blog with you. I will respond to comments here as quickly as I can. Happy 2024!
